How do credits work?

“Every action in the app costs a set number of credits, except creating characters and a book description, which is free. Writing costs vary by model: chapter outlines are 3 credits, and writing a full chapter runs 15 credits with Gemini, 20 with Grok, or 30 with Claude.”
